Your Course
Illustration and photo manipulation often plays a large role in a design process and these days it is an advantage for a designer to have this additional skill set. Students will benefit from working to an industry-based brief where they will be required to combine their creative imagination with technical skills to solve today's design problems. The main aim of the course is to give students the exact working knowledge of how to take their illustration from concept to a final digital project as found in the industry and how to present their final artwork to the client. This course would suit all levels of illustrators with basic computer knowledge as well as graphic designers and art workers wishing to enhance their illustration and retouching skills.
In this course students will learn how to work with Adobe Photoshop. Photoshop is the industry-leading digital imaging program, designed to edit and manipulate images.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course you will have been given the opportunity to:
· Interpret an industry-based brief.
· To be exposed to illustration and photo manipulation within the industry.
· Manipulate photos and create raster illustrations in Photoshop.
Your Tutor
Jean Prelorenzo had a 3-year Diploma in both Fine Arts and Communication Design from the Open Window Art Academy in South Africa. Jean is a practising freelance Illustrator and Graphic Designer with 10 years (8 years in the UK) working experience. She has worked for clients ranging from the Warner Brothers Music, Debenhams, Oprah Winfrey's 'O' magazine, Inghams travel, TUI and many more.

Tuition fees: £90
Method of payment: Fees for short courses (10 weeks or less) to be paid in full at enrolment and for long courses (12 weeks or more) fees of 50% can be paid at enrolment plus 50% as a cheque. Course places cannot be reserved without receipt of both payments.
