What you need to know
How will I study?

On this course you will study how important your target audience is when generating different media products for them. Assignments include magazine page layout and design, journalism, graphic design, advertising techniques, video editing, pre and post-production skills, sound recording and editing, as well as the media industry studies and more. Within your course you will also study English and maths, either to GCSE level or through Functional Skills.
How will I be taught?

You will study a range of units within the year, creating a portfolio of work. You'll combine units with a real life brief which provides you with valuable industry experience. You'll learn new software skills and the theoretical, legal and ethical debates behind each assignment.
How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through ongoing assessments and completing a media portfolio. All units are assessed on a pass, merit and distinction basis, with all being internally marked.
