The Course
This First Diploma is designed to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills from a Design practitioner's point of view. You will have the opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge in the theory and practice of:

• Animation
• Photography
• Film and Video
• Media research and production

Course Content
The programme is delivered through practical studio based activity together with research into contemporary and historical design practice. Students are able to use our well resourced Flexible Learning Area, where they can research into a wide range of art and design activity through the use of specialist magazines, videos, slides and CAD programmes.
This First Diploma in Media will help you to fulfil your creative potential in a friendly and supportive environment, whether you want to go into employment or prepare for study at a higher level.

Progression/Career Path
Students are able to progress onto a range of National Diplomas in Art and Design, Media or related disciplines.

Entry Requirements
Qualifications Required
Four GCSEs at grade D-G or Level 1 qualification with tutor recommendation or Foundation Diploma in a relevant subject.
