Creative Media Production and Technology UAL Diploma Level 3

On the course you will undertake a variety of workshops and experiments that will allow you to learn and develop skills and techniques in camera, lighting, sound and editing. These workshops could include hands on tasks, such as, recreating Hollywood film scenes, producing and manipulating audio and also experimenting with lighting to enhance your filmmaking. Whether a beginner or a more advanced producer of media content, these opening workshops aim to upskill and enhance you whilst on the course. Having engaged in practical workshops you will have the chance to select a specialism and then devise and produce your final major assessed project, which could take the form of: a short film, documentary, podcast or TV Show. To complement this very practical course, you will also study the roles associated with the media industry to help devise a strategy to plan your future career. In addition to this you will have the opportunity to work with the Co-operative British Youth Film Academy (BYFA) where you will be involved in the production of a full-length feature film at the end of the year, working alongside professional directors and a full film crew.
