Cross Cultural Awareness
A half day course designed to raise the awareness of cultural differences that may affect the successful delivery of care, cause undue problems or embarrassment and establish how and when to obtain information on specific cultural issues. There is no assessment of gained knowledge for this course. All students will be issued with a Certificate fo Attendance on completion of the course.
The objectives of the course are;
• To raise awareness of different ethnic and cultural differences that may affect the successful delivery of care
• To identify issues that can potentially cause undue problems or embarrassment on either side.

Qualification
Candidates will be Issued with a Certiflcate of Attendance on the completion of the course and will be able to use this along with any notes made during the course for inclusion In an NVQ portfolio.
