About the Course
There are three phases to this one-year enhancement course:

First Term
You will create and perform dances that are integrated into the college production.

Second Term
You will be involved in creating Totton College†s Rock Challenge, which is performed at Southampton Guildhall in March. You will create a dance/drama performance and will be expected to create the drama, dance,costumes, set, lighting and music. You will also take on a role within the company to make the piece a huge success! The event is a competition against other schools and colleges in the area and you have the opportunity to win awards for Best dramatic Skills, Best Soundtrack, Best Choreography, Student Leadership Award, plus many more.
Third Term
You will have the opportunity to perform in a company piece at The Point, Eastleigh in June.
Course Aims
The course aims to raise the profile of dance within the College and allow all our students to become involved.

How is the course assessed?
There is no assessment, except where it is possible to use any activities for assessment purposes in the BTEC National Award course.
Fees
No Course Fees for Under 19's. Over 19's must pay, or claim Level 2 or Level 3 Entitlement for FREE courses .
