I would like to have known more about their way of writing essays, and the expectations. It does make sense to not control the creativity to much but it could be nerve wrecking when you don't know what they expect.

I would advise to apply early and make sure to look at funding opportunities early on as studying in London is an expensive endeavour. UCL is a truly international institution and the intellectual curiosity and open-mindedness of the student body is second to none.
