Following on from the Understanding Dementia title this video focuses on developing dementia care skills. Practical in nature, this title explores the ways in which care workers can adapt everyday routines and practices to support a person with dementia. It aims to:
- Improve understanding of the communication difficulties that can be experienced, whilst also considering how feelings can be expressed through behaviour
- Develop good verbal and non-verbal communication skills in carers and encourage them to consider the factors that can further improve effectiveness
