Dementia Care for Health Care Workers

Course outline:
Provides a thorough understanding of dementia and how to provide person centred care

General Information:
The aim of this course is to provide participants with a greater understanding of dementia; introduce Care Workers to the signs and symptoms of dementia enabling them to recognise the signs in their everyday practice; introduce participants to strategies for managing challenging behaviours presented
This course is delivered one day per week over twelve weeks
