About this course

The requirements for the course are that you have to be 18+ years old and your CRB disclosure has to be clear. You must provide 2 x passport-sized photos, 2 x proof of address and your passport. All documents must be original. Please be ready to fill in CRB application form. Note that even volunteers are not allowed to start their placement without valid CRB.

The 2 days of Intensive Theory Training. Voluntary work placement is available up on request.

Course contents

1. Overview of the Common Induction Standards (as set out by the Skills for Care Council).

2. Health and Safety

3. Moving and Handling

4. Food Hygiene

5. Fire Safety Awareness

6. Basic First Aid Awareness

Every unit is available separately (£70).

Duties of the Health and Social Career

1. Observing changes in a resident’s condition and reporting them to other team members is a very important role.

2. Write down the important information about resident its called CHARTING.

3. Helping nurses to perform daily tasks.

4. Helping in Toileting.

5. Taking bath

6. Helping keep patients clean

7. Helping patients to eat and dress

8. Making beds

9. Measuring and recording temperature, pulse and respiration

10. Taking and testing urine samples

11. Chatting to patients

12. Supporting patients with mobility problems.
