How to apply :
For September 2009 entry, applicants should apply directly to Lambeth College for the year 1 programmes and for the industrial-based programmes (year 1 or year 2). Applications for direct entry to the year 2 college-based programme should be made to De Montford University via UCAS.

Entry to year 1 programmes:
GCSE grades A* -E in English, Maths, a Science and one other subject. Applicants must successfully complete pre-course diagnostic assessments in literacy, numeracy and manipulative skills, demonstrate a high level of competence in oral and written English, and demonstrate a commitment to complete 250 hours of work-based learning during the year. A criminal records declaration is also required at enrolment and a CRB check will be completed post-enrolment.
Direct entry to year 2 programmes:
Applicants should have either BTEC National Award in Dental Technology, or one pass at GCE â€-A†level and four GCSE passes at Grade C or above, or should have successfully completed year 1 of the Foundation Degree in Dental Technology. All applicants must demonstrate a high level of competence in oral and written English at entry. Applicants for the college-based programme must demonstrate a clear commitment to complete all of the required hours of work-based learning during their programme. A criminal records declaration is also required at enrolment and a CRB check will be completed post-enrolment. Applicants entering with A-level qualifications will be required to follow a 3-week programme of lab-based practical work and successfully complete a practical assessment before enrolment. Applicants for the industrial-based programme must be employed in an industrial dental laboratory as a Dental Technician Trainee prior to enrolment. All applicants starting the Foundation Degree programmes must be able to meet the requirements of the General Dental Council for National Registration as a Dental Technologist.
