Interview and 5 GCSEs grade C or above in written subjects which must include English. Unless Maths grade C has already been achieved before the Course, then those who haven’t achieved this grade will study GCSE Maths alongside the Childcare Course.
Alternatively, the Full Diploma in Childcare and Education Level 2 at an overall ‘C’ grade or above would be required.
This is an advanced level course. Achievement at grade “A*” attracts 420 UCAS points (equivalent to 3 A levels) and direct entry to University.
This course is for those with a genuine interest in children and a desire to be involved with their care, development and education.
College classes provide the knowledge and understanding to build confidence and make the best of the very extensive work placements with children aged between Birth -5 years.
