This course includes a qualification in Body massage, Reflexology & Aromatherapy. As well these qualifications, the course also includes units in anatomy and physiology, principles and practice of complementary therapies and business practice. The course is fully accredited and will allow you to offer the therapies above. You will gain an excellent insight into complementary and holistic therapies through the blend of theoretical and practical delivery of the course and through the case studies you complete both within the sessions and outside of class.

About this course

To develop the neccesary skills and qualifications to work as a Complementary Therapies.

Adults18 & over.

No previous therapy experience is required but a willingness to learn is essential.

Diploma in Complementary Therapies

Offered in a way that suits individual learners needs and also smaller classes to ensure effective and personalised learning experiences.

The course will run from Jan 2022- December 2022. It will run monthly on the second Monday of the month from 10-4 pm

The cost of the course is £1750 and is payable monthly over 12 Months.

The course is accredited by the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine. You can also use them to gain public liability insurance.

The course consist of 200 hours of practice

Once you have completed the course and all units and case studies, you will receive your certificate and will be able to work as a Complementary Therapist. This could be in an employed therapy setting or in a self employed capacity.

Course programme

  1. Unit 1: Provide reflexology. This unit will allow you to develop knowledge and understanding of reflexology and how to apply your knowledge to the feet. You will learn about contraindications to reflexology and how it can be used to improve health and well-being.
  2. Provide body massage: This unit includes full body massage and also adaptations to massage depending on individual requirements and contraindications.
  3. Provide aromatherapy. In this unit you will learn how to blend essential oils to meet the individual needs of your clients as well as how to create lotions and potions to improce health and wellbeing.
  4. Principles & practice of complementary therapies. This unit will focus on the boundaries that therapists must work within and how to ensure best and professional practic.
  5. Anatomy & Physiology for complementary therapies. This includes assessment of all of the body systems and how to work best with each of these systems as a therapist.
  6. Business practice for complementary therapists. This unit focuses on how to use your qualification and work as a complementary therapist by developing knowledge and understanding of the business requirements to work as a therapist and how best to do this.
