Course programme

" The programme is vocationally orientated towards engineering and is aimed at those working in or planning to work in an Electrical Maintenance or an Electrical Engineering role, largely academic the units of study contain significant practical elements. To progress onto year 2 all year 1 assignments must be completed in full before progression onto year 2. The programme consists of the following units, Environment & Health & Safety, Communication for Engineering Technicians, Electrical Electronic Principles, Engineering Mathematics, Analogue & Digital Electronics, Programmable Logical Controllers (PLC’s), Further Mathematics for Engineering Technicians and an Engineering Project these have been chosen to introduce aspects of Electrical/Electronic technology and to support local industry. With sufficient grades this course allows progression onto Higher National Certificate."
