A unique 3 week intensive hands-on documentary making film course in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. The course covers the whole process of making a documentary from pre to post-production in the 3 weeks. The course offers unparalleled access to locations in Rio de Janeiro including Ipanema, Copacaban and the real life set of 'City of God' access to digital filming, light and sound equipment and a final week of editing on Final Cut Pro. All films/shorts will be screened at the FMI www.festivalofmovingimage.com London which is attended by the likes of Ken Loach, Alfonso Cuaron and Vanessa Redgrave. Suitable for: Novice (no experience in filmmaking). Current film students. Experienced filmmakers looking for access to unique locations and filming material and improve their reel and CV

Rio Film School is offering a truly unique documentary film-making experience in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. 9th - 30th August 2010
Broken down into 3 weeks the course covers pre-production, production and post-production taught by both teachers from University College London/Reuters and industry professionals from Brazil.
This is a truly unique and international course, taught in English with access to locations around Rio de Janeiro including the City of God.
All local transport, accommodation, equipment, course fees and daytime meals included.
All of the documentaries made will also be presented and screened at a London film festival (The Festival of Moving Image ) attended by the likes of Ken Loach, Vanessa Redgrave and Alfonso Cuaron (Y Tu Mama Tambien/Harry Potter)
Social Responsibility:
This course helps to directly fund NGO Cinema Nosso helping the children of Rio de Janeiro out of the slums via film. .br
