What will I learn?

You will learn: safe handling and restraint; correct bathing for a dog's coat type; how to use drying equipment; and simple techniques for trimming and hand stripping the coat for a variety of different breeds of dogs The theory will cover kennel club breed groups; normal and abnormal health in dogs; customer care; and health & safety

How will I be assessed?

There will be practical assessments, assessment of written assignments and a multiple choice theory exam

Entry Requirements

You will need a Dog Grooming Level 2 Certificate or to be currently employed as a dog groomer (reference required) Entry onto the course may also be possible from an Animal Management Level 3 Diploma (if you have completed the Dog Grooming unit)
