Core and Appliance Gas Safety

The Domestic Gas Safety ACS Assessments are made up of a Core Safety Assessment (CCN1), which all ACS operatives must undertake successfully and a range of Appliance Assessments, which operatives can opt to undertake as necessary.

Core Domestic Gas Safety – CCN1

CCN1 Assessment covers Gas Safety Legislation, Gas Emergency Action and Procedures, and all necessary safety aspects for when conducting Gas work, including the installation, maintenance and testing of gas systems, and identifying unsafe situations. The Assessment is conducted over 2 days. Refresher training is available if required.

CCN1 is a pre-requisite for the following appliance assessments.

* Fires and Wall Heaters – HTR1
* Cookers – CKR1
* Water Heating Appliances – WAT1
* Central Heating Boilers below 70kW – CEN1
* Ducted Air Heaters below 70kW – DAH1
* Laundry Appliances – LAU1
* Meters – MET1

Refresher training is available if required for CEN1, CKR1, HTR1 and WAT1.
