Domestic Energy Assessment Diploma Level 3

The need for the DipDEA has been brought about by the Government’s reforms to the home buying process in England and Wales. Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), energy ratings for homes similar to consumer-friendly ‘fridge ratings’, are now a compulsory part of Home Information Packs. The EPCs outline the costs of heating, hot water and lighting in homes and give practical advice on how to cut these costs and reduce emissions. EPCs are produced by qualified Home Inspectors who hold a licence to practice and qualified Domestic Energy Assessors. The latter status is achieved through the ABBE Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment.
