Course programme

The holder of a Door supervisor licence can work in a variety of roles, including static and patrolling guarding, making it a versatile security industry qualification to hold.

Door Supervisor licence holders are also required for pub and club venues in addition to attending events, particularity where the event is licensed for alcohol.

The old image of a Bouncer on the door has been swept away by this qualification which is the first step on a training and career path that can lead to a degree and senior management for those who wish to go that far.

The training course is 28 hours in duration which are delivered over four days. It includes two examinations which are marked by the approved QCA body Edexcel and successful learners are awarded a BTECLevel 2 in Door Supervision. This certificate gives the learner the correct qualification to apply to the SIA for a licence.
