Drawing and Painting Beginners and Improvers

This course offers a series of sessions which progress step by step through theory, practical work, discussion and demonstrations. A variety of styles are looked at and the methods used to achieve these. We look at the work of well known artists and discuss their ideas, paintings and drawings. Plenty of demonstrations, at least one each session, will be included. You will be able to create a piece of art-work that takes colour, tone, pattern, texture, form, shape and composition into account, that you will enjoy making and looking at/exhibiting. A College Certificate is awarded on request.Some theory where useful, including looking at the work of well known artists and discuss their ideas, paintings and drawings. Plenty of demonstrations (at least one each session). One to one and group tuition. We use a mixture of primary and secondary reference (about 50/50).
