Drawing Skills for Interior Designers

This one week course is highly recommended for students who wish to acquire basic drawing skills before progressing to the Diploma Course.

Drawing is an essential selling tool to convey ideas to your client and having the ability to draw accurate plans and elevations will undoubtedly put your career on a more professional footing.

The course covers learning to draw and read scale plans at 1:20 and 1:50, an essential skill when preparing floor plans and elevations. Students will also survey a room and then be taught how to produce accurate plans and elevations from their measurements.

Further, students also develop observation techniques which when combined with freehand measuring methods will enhance skills for visual recording on site, a valuable asset at client meetings.

There is no design element in this course but the drawing techniques taught accelerate progress and will act as an excellent foundation for the Diploma Course. Please note, homework is an integral part of this course.
