Suitable for: all HGV LGV drivers to gain, renew and update their Driver CPC to obtain Driver Qualification Card. Training can be delivered at Client Premises or at our Training Centres in Park Royal / Wembley. Training is 7 hours per day and can be arranged either as an intensive weeks course (35hrs) or as single days either during the weekday or on Saturdays (some Sundays may be available by appointment)

(1) drivers hours & working time directive and digital tachographs current information regarding drivers hours / working time directive and the operation of digital tachograph (siemens / continental) and enable both driver and company to comply with legal requirements
(2) vehicle & loading handling systems and safe vehicle loading explains and informs drivers about brakes, braking systems, retarders, handling and securing loads and weight distribution, overloading. attending the seminars will help drivers understand what goes on under the bonnet, the effects of loading vehicles. drivers learn of their important contribution to road safety
(3) safe & economic driving, rural and urban driving daily vehicle checks and fault finding & reporting. methods of changing gear for optimum power and fuel economy across all roads including rural and urban highways. learn safe driving techniques to help drive in a safe & fuel efficient manner
(4) health and safety in transport operation & personal wellbeing identify risks and hazards, accident and danger avoidance in the workplace. manual handling and road accident reporting will ensure drivers comply with health & safety law in the workplace
(5) customer care, company procedures, secure transport ops & manual handling introduction and explanation to proper and correct manual handling techniques. Route planning, minimise fuel consumption, consideration of social and licencing issues and threats from vehicle and load theft. drivers will become more aware of the external issues that face transport operators
