Course programme

Driver CPC course - Loading /Securing 7 hours towards the 35 hour required.

The Driver CPC is considered to be the single biggest change to the road transport industry in more than 40 years, since heavy goods driver licensing back in 1968.

The Driver CPC is short for “Driver Certificate of Professional Competence” it has been introduced to the UK through EU Directive 2009/59. It is a new qualification that all lorry, coach and bus drivers will need if they wish to drive professionally for a living. The course content & examination requirements come under the authority of the D.S.A. (Driving Standards Agency)

From 10 September 2009 drivers with existing entitlement to drive C1, C, C1+E and C+E goods vehicles will be required to attend a minimum of 35 hours of periodic training during every five year period.

Training courses are required to be delivered by accredited providers in sessions of a minimum 7 hours.
