Course Content: The course will provide a general overview of setting up a business online. This will include identifying a product/service/ business idea. Creating a business plan, buying a domain name and hosting, designing a website, stock sources, purchasing gateways (Pay pal), online security, testing, creating a brand, submitting to search engines, additional site features, customer loyalty, buying wholesale and updating your website, Creating an effective website, Editing digital images, Reviewing a website, How to sell online, Creating your own online business, Internet marketing for the small business, Search engine marketing, E-commerce overview.

Special Features: Assessment will be the completion of an online store selling at least one product or service. The website must be hosted and found on Google by keying in the domain name. On completion, successful candidates will be awarded a Tameside College Certificate.
