The Leader as Coach and Mentor‌

The responsibilities, skills, knowledge and competences required to be effective in this role are brought into question. Building on the idea of a Learning Organisation you will come to investigate your own case study to critically evaluate current organisational practice which could bring debate about what leadership is or is not. You’ll also considerhow you inspire leadership in yourself and others.

Principles and Practices of Coaching and Mentoring‌

Related principles and practices are explored to gain a better understanding of good practice. The individual and micro aspects of institutional working are held central and are critically discussed in relation to a global Code of Ethics. Looking to PhD research to show the dynamic theoretical origins underpinning this topic, you will have the opportunity to consider how theory informs your own practice and coaching philosophy
