MODULE 2: Why Delegate?
Learning outcomes: Understand the advantages and disadvantages of delegation, why we delegate and why we resist delegating.
MODULE 3: What is Delegation?
Learning outcomes: Understand what delegation involves, the responsibilities and preparing for delegation.
MODULE 4: Picking the Right Person
Learning outcomes: Identify who is best placed to be the delegatee, did they demonstrate aptitude and/or motivation.
MODULE 5: The Delegation Meeting
Learning outcomes: Be able to clearly communicate the reason, responsibilities, standards and control levels for delegation.
MODULE 6: Levels of Authority
Learning outcomes: Understand that delegation needs authority and recognise what level of authority is required
MODULE 7: Giving Instructions
Learning outcomes: Learn how to be able to give clear, precise instructions, orders and requests.
MODULE 8: Communication Skills
Learning outcomes: Recognise the importance of using clear communications skills, including assetiveness, listening, and questioning effectively.
MODULE 9: Monitoring Delegation
Learning outcomes: Understand how to monitor delegated tasks effectively using a range of monitoring techniques.
MODULE 10: Giving Feedback
Learning outcomes: Be able to give positive, supportive feedback even when negative issues are encountered.
