EFL (Advanced extra)

Your Course
This course covers grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation as well as the four main skills of reading, writing and especially speaking and listening. It is aimed at those who are reasonably fluent in simple spoken and written English
Students will be consulted with and the syllabus will be tailored to your individual needs. Popular elements in the past have included work on idioms, listening through film and TV news, shopping and interview role-plays and writing job applications and CV's.
The corse also aims to clarify the use of tenses in English and looks at sounds, stress, intonation and accents
Although not an exam class, the content of the course is useful as part of preparation for the Cambridge First Certificate in English or Cambridge Advanced English.
Activities often include games and songs with the emphasis on interaction and learning through enjoyment
*PLEASE NOTE: There will be a testing session at 5.50pm on the first week to check your level.

Francois Votocek BA DELTA has been teaching EFL since 1996 and has worked in China and the UK. She is a specialist in teacher training and has acted as main tutor on many Teaching Development Programmes as well as running CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) courses.

Tuition fees: £90
Method of payment: Fees for short courses (10 weeks or less) to be paid in full at enrolment and for long courses (12 weeks or more) fees of 50% can be paid at enrolment plus 50% as a cheque. Course places cannot be reserved without receipt of both payments.
Half term:
Please note that there are no classes during half term Monday 15th - Friday 19th February 2010 unless otherwise stated.
