EFL (Intermediate)

Your Course
The course is based on the four main skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening in roughly equal proportions. It is aimed at those who are reasonably fluent in simple spoken and written English. In addition to listening and speaking training and practice, the course also aids those who want to improve their reading and writing skills in English. This is done by, for instance, introducing a text which is read and discussed in class. This should increase comprehension and expand vocabulary. Writing is often based on class discussions of subjects which interest the students. Grammar and pronunciation are also given attention during lessons. Although not an exam class, the content of the course is useful as part of preparation for the First Certificate in English.
The syllabus of the course is covered by the book which is used in class 'The New Cambridge English course' (Intermediate) but this is not the only material used in class and teaching is also done through communicative games, songs, poetry and listening to tapes. The emphasis is on interaction with other students and learning through enjoyment.
please note: There will be a testing session at 5.50pm on the first week to check your level.
