You will focus on analytical techniques, theoretical modelling and practical investigation to solve vocational and work-based problems. This qualification, which is validated through Pearson, provides a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in the modern engineering industry. An HNC is intended for self-motivated individuals looking to enhance their promotional prospects or to further their education. It is delivered on full-time study basis over one academic year (*full-time students are given the option to top up to a HND).
All HNCs and Foundation Degrees will focus on core engineering concepts including:
Project management,
Applied mathematics,
Engineering science and
Engineering principles. A high focus of the delivery is on employer engagement and the use of IT within the industry. All students are required to complete an engineering project in their final year.

Course programme
A top-up option is available to progress from an HNC to an HND within one year full-time study or a Foundation Degree in one year part-time study.
Empployment opportunities include Electrical and Electronic installation work and management of electrical and Electronic contracts and installations, Electronic Engineering Companies, Industrial Electrical Motor Applications, Electrical Power Generation and Distribution.
