Electrical Installations Diploma Level 1

This is a QCF qualification learners will need to undertake the following mandatory units; Structure of the Construction Industry, Fundamental safe working practices, Environmental and sustainability measures in domestic dwellings, Site preperation for working in the construction industry, Electrical installation wiring and terminations, Fabrication techniques for electrical installations and Electrical science and technology

Assessments are set by City and Guilds, delivered and marked by the tutor/assessor, all units will be internally verified by the college and externally verified by City and Guilds

This qualification does not lead directly to a job, but does provide learners with the basic core skills training and underpinning knowledge to progress into further learning such as an apprenticeship in Electrical or the level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations

Candidates will need to have achieved GCSE or equivlent to grade D in Maths, English & a Science Also Candidates will be Interviewed, complete an aptitude test and supply satisfactory references

Students are expected to complete 30 hours of work experience

No work experience is required though any prior experience or work throughout the course will greatly support a student's progression
