The programme offers thorough study of electrical engineering. The programme is divided into 18 units of study at various levels including: Core Units: Business Systems for Technicians Communications for Technicians Mathematics for Technicians Engineering Project Electrical and Electronic Principles Specialist Units:

· Principles and Applications of Analogue Electronics
· Microprocessor Systems and Applications
· Electrical Applications
· Three-Phase Motors and Drives
· Further Electrical Principles
· Further Mathematics for Technicians
· Electrical Installation
· Maintaining Computer Systems To complete the qualification students will also study an NVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations which is a Workshop based qualification enabling students to appreciate the practical implications of theoretical work studied and to demonstrate competence in an engineering environment.
