Objectives:
Equipment used on this course will be the DAF B.O.B. and the associated harnesses for AIDING with FAULT DIAGNOSIS and in conjunction with E.C.U. compatible safe LED Test Lamps.

To enable all attendees with the knowledge of how to use SPECIALIST TEST EQUIPMENT with confidence and develop/extend their logical fault finding skills.

Staff wishing to learn how to quickly find Electrical/Electronic Faults in major circuits using specific DAF MANUFACTURER SPECIALIST TEST EQUIPMENT and with due regard to Manufacturers Specifications.

Content:
· Welcome introductions and course objective.
· S.O.E. (I.R.T.E.) Electronic Code of Practice (hazards and precautions).
· Manufacturers wiring diagrams and test procedures.
· Application of LED test lamps in conjunction with B.O.B.
· Fault finding techniques using the DAF B.O.B and harnesses to determine faulty components/connections within:
* UPEC ( Tector Engine Management Only).
*VIC.
*EBS/ABS.
*MTCO.
*CAN.
*DIP.
· Blink code interpretation.
· Practical circuit testing using the multi-meter and LED test lamp with BOB.
· Ancillary/Auxiliary circuit and sensor testing using LED test lamp and multi-meter with BOB.
· Overview and practical diagnostic fault finding of On Board Computer Systems.
· Workplace/vehicle practical testing.
· Course review.
