I started out thinking I would have no rhythm and that I'd be useless at drumming. But even from the very first lesson, I could tell that my teacher really knew his stuff and had such an infectious passion and enthusiasm for the drums that I was going to be hooked on drumming. The drums are so much fun to play and I love the challenge of coming up against new rhythms and coordinations. Recently I even invested in an electronic drum kit to continue my practice at home and I went to a band workshop to experience my first time playing with other musicians live in the studio. Next step is to gather the confidence to get on stage and perform in front of an audience! If you had told me 2 years ago that I would be drumming on stage with a band I would have laughed... But it's just testimony to the calm, enthusiastic, patient, encouraging nature of the guys at Elephant Drums and the expert way the tuition is delivered that has got me so quickly to where I am now. Still loving it!

History
Elephant Drums originally started as one teacher providing drum lessons in the back room of his house. As the popularity of lessons grew, it became necessary to move up in scale. Further teachers joined and the business moved to professional fully-equipped tuition studios in the heart of London. Currently Elephant Drums manages a network of drum teachers throughout London, providing lessons to students in their own homes, their workplace, in schools and at other tuition studios and centres.

Elephant drums provides personalised drumming tuition courses. Based in London with a network of drum tutors throughout southern England. Courses run at conveniently located professional drumming studios.
Students are taught one-to-one rather than in large groups so that progress is rapid and focussed on the individual's needs. Courses can lead to professional qualifications or can be taken on a "just for fun" basis.
Drumming courses are availaible in varying lengths from one month up to one year, or the course can be tailored to suit the student's schedule.
