Emergency Planning

Duration - One to two days

(Training runs from 10am Day 1 to 3pm Day 2 for the full course. Options are available to only attend Day 1)

A properly implemented Emergency and Business Continuity Plan can assist in the prevention of injuries, fatalities, property damage incidents and other losses, should such an incident occur. This not only helps to prevent human loss and suffering but also assists the effective managementt and finance of any business or organisation.

The effectiveness of such plans is reliant on the effectiveness of key personnel taking active roles in delivering the plan as efficiently as possible.

This programme will focus on the risks to business continuity and the effectiveness of controls to deal with emergency situations.

The programme will cover:

Day 1

  • Identifying and categorising emergency situations.

  • Developing emergency plans.

  • Identifying key staff, their roles and responsibilities.

  • Environmental considerations.

  • Pre-planning with external agencies.

  • Communication in a crisis

  • Training and briefing.

  • Implementation of the plan.

Day 2


  • Planning simulations and testing the plan.
