EMFEC Certificate in Welding Practice

Duration: 1 year per level - Two evenings per week

Course Description
The certificate scheme is a qualification for practical welders and is offered at level 1 and 2 which are specifically related to BS 4872. All certificates are counter signed by the Welding Institute. Candidates who satisfy all the requirements of the scheme can obtain:
· BS 4872 Certification and apply for
· Testing by Lloyds Insurers.

What you will Study
At level 1, 2 and 3 we will offer:
· Manual Metal-Arc Welding
· Metal-Arc Gas Shielded Welding
· Tungsten Arc Gas Shielded Welding
· Oxy-Acetylene Gas Welding & Cutting
· Fabrication Processes General/Sheet
· Engineering Drawing
At level 3 there are options for welding:
· Pipe
· Aluminium
· Stainless Steel

As from March 1995 courses to ASME 1X standard will also be available for experienced welders who are in employment or are sponsored trainees.

Qualified welding status.
