Course description For those who have got a clear focus about the area of employment in the engineering industry that they wish to enter, this BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering is the ideal course for the skills and knowledge you need to get you there. To earn the extended diploma qualification, you'll need to take six compulsory engineering units over the course of two years, with a further twelve units of your choice to make up a total of 180 credits. There's a huge range of engineering units to choose from, so you'll be able to focus your knowledge and expertise on areas that really interest you, or those where you need to gain a deeper understanding to help you progress onto a role as a senior technician.
