Course structure:
This course can be studied at both South Tyneside College's South Shields campus and the Applied Research Institute in New Delhi.

Entry requirements:
You must have a graduate level Mechnical Engineers or equivilant degree from an AICTE approved insitution. (A percentage of the marks is company specific).

Qualifications achieved:
  • NVQ Level III in Marine Engineering
  • MCA Engineering Officer of the Watch Certificate of Competence (Marine Engineering Officer)


Progression opportunities:
On successful completion of cadetship candidate's progression to certification and to the senior ranks of Second and Chief Engineering Officer will follow further training. Students who complete this training are eligible for the academic examinations for Second Engineer (III/2).
