What will I learn?
This course prepares you to return to work or study by focussing on study skills, interview techniques, application form filling, letter writing, CV writing, job search and personal action planning. English covers reading, comprehension, spelling, grammar, punctuation, reference skills and oral communication. Maths includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, decimals, simple fractions, measurement, using the 24 hour clock, and reading and drawing graphs. Information technology includes using the keyboard, word processing, using the internet and emailing.

How will I be taught?
This course is delivered in the classroom through practical tasks, discussions, worksheets and presentations.

How will I be assessed?
You will take exams at the end of the year.

You could progress to other courses in the College and improve your employment opportunities.
