Course programme
Innovation and development of an idea into a profitable business venture has been a feature of our society since the industrial revolution; entrepreneurship is part of the vibrant and exciting commercial world. Subjects taught include idea development, innovation management, business model generation, user experience design, consumer psychology, resource networking, and business funding. This degree offers students the chance to develop their own business ideas while immersing themselves in practical aspects and academic study of entrepreneurial thinking and new business development. Commercial work based learning is an integral feature of our Entrepreneurship degree programme. Students will be encouraged to start-up or continue the development of their own business concept, or to gain experience via an entrepreneurial work placement. Our full-time course includes 2 days per week focused on the student's business development or entrepreneurial experience.
Students will be introduced to the professional standards of corporate business, and be exposed to entrepreneurial concepts that will enable them to see opportunities for creating businesses or engage in a rewarding career.
Warwickshire College was granted Foundation degree awarding powers by Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council in September 2014 reflecting the very high confidence placed in us by independent higher education assessors after a year-long detailed scrutiny. The highly experienced Business team has been delivering Foundation degrees, awarded by partner universities, since 2007 and have had the pleasure of seeing many graduates progress to wide range of jobs, higher degrees and other successful positions.

How will I be assessed?The degree programme is assessed using a series of assignments throughout the course programme.
What is the entry process?Application for full-time is through UCAS and successful interview. Please use the Warwickshire College UCAS institution code - W25 - and the course code N105.

What are the entry requirements?Minimum qualifications: Full level 3
Minimum requirement for FdA is 160 UCAS points or interview assessed experience and capability
What else do I need to know?
You will need to undertake at least 20 days of work placement in your first year and the remaining days in the second year. The normal work placement will be on two days per week.

What can I do after this course?Successful completion of the foundation degree will lead to opportunities to complete a third year of study to achieve a BA Honours. As it is a key part of the course students will be equipped with the skills to develop and establish a business generated from their own innovative ideas using a wealth of entrepreneurial skills.
