This course is aimed at people who can speak, read and write English and would like to learn more.
At the end of this course you should be able to communicate more effectively in your everyday life and work.
What do I need to get on the course?There are no formal qualifications, but an interview and assessment will take place
to determine the correct level for you.
You are taught the basics of reading, writing, speaking and listening in English. You will be taught grammar, including the increasing use of tenses and read a range of texts to identify their purposes.
When do I have to attend college?You have to attend college for two 2½ hour sessions each week, depending on your course schedule. We run courses in the mornings or the evenings and, subject to availability you can choose which session to attend.
Once you have chosen a session you will need to always attend at this time.
What can I do after this course?When you have successfully completed this course you can move onto the ESOL Level 1 course subject to your ability.
