Overview & facilities
The Environmental and Public award is trans-disciplinary, looking at the environmental stressors that impact on human health. The award also has an international dimension reflecting on public health and development in disaster settings.
We are the largest and foremost provider of environmental health education in the UK and with this comes a range of dedicated resources from research and field active staff to dedicated learning spaces, laboratories and equipment.
Students range from those coming straight from school, to those based in UK and international practice. This provides a wide range of experiences which are utilised within the course to assist in application and understanding.
The awards are strongly vocational leading to excellent employment prospects. The sister award B.Sc. Environmental Health typically achieves a remarkable 100% graduate employment rate with graduate salaries far in excess of national norms.
