Course programme

This course addresses the legal and moral obligation of managers to promote fairness of opportunity and encourage diversity in the workplace. The course offers managers clear guidelines about how they can develop awareness within the staff team and address issues of equal opportunities when they arise at work.

Learning outcomes and objectives

  • To understand the processes and behaviours that promote equality within staff teams, and those which detract from them.
  • To understand how equality and fairness within a staff team can increase team performance and service delivery.

Our team leader training is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), and is delivered with a total focus on the management of care services. It links with many aspects of the Registered Manager Award NVQ, by providing underpinning knowledge.

Half day courses usually run from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. / 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
