What will you be learning?
ESOL courses are for people who do not have English as their first language and who want to improve their language skills to get more out of their life in the U.K. The course will help you improve all your skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) and make it easier to seek employment, get a qualification, help your children with homework or apply for citizenship.

• You are in receipt of, or are an un-waged dependent of someone currently in receipt of any of the following "income-based" benefits:
  • Income-based Jobseekers Allowance (JSA)
  • Income-related Employments and Support ALlowance (ESA)
  • Income Support
  • Working Tax Credit (your assessed household income needs to be less than 15,276 per year (amount subject to change)
  • Housing Benefit
  • Council Tax Benefit (excluding the 25% single person reduction)
  • Pension Credit - Guaranteed only
