Description:
Engineers and other technical professionals whose roles are driven or influenced by procurement requirements and who work with procurement teams can find themselves pulled in seemingly conflicting directions. They must balance the often competing demands of maximising contribution to the corporate strategy while gainfully engaging appropriate suppliers, getting the best out of the supply relationship, other members of the company, team and their own direct reports.
