Course Overview

This course will enable the delegate to gain a good general understanding of the main features of Excel, giving them the ability to produce their own standard spreadsheets, create their own formulae and format and print spreadsheets.
Prerequisites
  • Previous use of a keyboard and mouse is assumed for this course.
  • Delegates should have some working knowledge of using a Windows based PC or they should have completed the Introduction to Windows course.
  • Delegates should feel at ease performing tasks such as arranging, sizing and switching between Windows.


Objectives


    Delegates will be able to :
  • Create a spreadsheet that will contain data. Navigate the spreadsheet using keyboard shortcuts. Add a New Column and Rows and saving the spreadsheet to their own folder.
  • Create and format a spreadsheet using the main features of the Formatting toolbar to change the appearance of the spreadsheet.
  • Performing the following calculations on a range of numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Use the following 5 Functions on a range of numbers to speed up basic calculations : Sum, Average, Count, Min, Max.
