Fast-track for Graduates and Health Professionals

The College of Osteopaths is experienced in designing fast-track programmes for doctors, physiotherapists, chiropractors and other professionals allied to health, plus graduates in the biomedical sciences. These fast-track programmes enable students to progress through the course in a shorter time than usual, by accrediting prior learning (APL), and providing individualised support where appropriate.

Programme Information

Fast-track options exist for entry on to both the Diploma in Naturopathy and the BSc (Hons) Osteopathy. The Diploma in Naturopathy is open to registered osteopaths and other health care professionals and the BSc (Hons) Osteopathy to physiotherapists, chiropractors, medical doctors and other graduates of biological and biomedical sciences.

Programme Structure

The structure of the fast-track programme will vary according to an individual applicant's qualifications. For example a typical programme for a doctor, chiropractor or physiotherapist wishing to retrain as an osteopath is of three year's duration and a programme for a recent graduate in the biomedical sciences is four year's duration.
