In November I came from France to study at this school and during four weeks I lived in the flat owned by the school. It was incredible! The flat was located in a quiet area, next to a big supermarket and had three double rooms in it. Able Manchester it is a very good school, with high quality classes and great prices. The school is very flexible and if you miss a class you can catch up on a lesson without any surcharge. Also, teachers and staff are very helpful and friendly! I truly recommend this school, and my stay in Manchester was really enjoyable, full of things to see and to do!

In this course you will improve your language skills and will learn the techniques necessary to pass the FCE exam.

This course is built entirely around the students and is designed around their specific strengths and weaknesses. In addition to daily classes their will also be monthly practice tests along with frequent tutorials and drop in sessions with the Principal and Academic Manager

Reading and Use of English Multiple choice lexical cloze. The main focus is on vocabulary, e.g. idioms, collocations, fixed phrases, complementation, phrasal verbs, semantic precision. Open cloze The main focus is on awareness and control of grammar with some focus on vocabulary. Word formation The main focus is on vocabulary, in particular the use of affixation, internal changes and compounding in word formation. Key word transformation Focus on grammar, vocabulary and collocation. Multiple choice: Understanding detail, opinion, attitude, tone, purpose, main idea, gist, meaning from context, implication, text organisation features (exemplification, reference).Gapped text - sentences Understanding coherence, cohesion and text structure. Multiple matching Scanning and locating information in a text: detail, opinion, specific information, implication.
