Developed and delivered by industry professionals, this practical course focuses on stage and production management for the entertainment industry. The excellent facilities and training in The Northbrook Theatre support the acquisition of specialist skills and prepare students for entry to employment. The course offers the opportunity to work across musical theatre, dance and drama productions, as well as live music events and tours... The course provides hands-on experience. You will learn skills such as blocking, cue-ing, flying, rigging (motors, lighting and sound), working to scale, health and safety and budgeting, as well as soft skills such as communication and time management. In the first year, you will start with junior roles and progress to working on shows. The second year gives you the opportunity to become ‘head of department’, leading teams and seeing productions through from first production meeting to first night and finally the get-out...
