2. Course description The course consists of a number of foundation skills in production management, camera and lighting techniques and editing, and delivers critical approaches to film and television.  The second year of the course invites you to create a number of key productions such as music videos and creative corporate briefs.  You will have access to a multi-camera television studio and outside broadcasting facilities for filming live events. There are also facilities for filming and editing 16mm film and you will have access to the Nottingham Film Archive which comprises approximately 100 cans of 16mm film and around 4,000 transparencies.  You will study the following modules on the course: • camera and lighting workshops • sound for film and television • the cutting room • media law • post-production and visual effects • documentary production • music video production • multicam and live production • short film

Entry requirements You will need between 120 and 240 UCAS points from: • at least two A Levels at ‘A2' • a BTEC Diploma or Extended Diploma • International Baccalaureate Mature students with relevant experience and/or qualifications, including an Access to HE Diploma within a relevant area, are welcome to apply. 4.
