Topics include basic setup, adjusting and customizing preferences and settings, capturing video and audio, various editing and trimming techniques, ripple, roll, slip and slide tools, audio editing and audio creation, finishing and final output.
You will learn how to:- Work with the browser and bins
- Mark clips and use Insert
- Overwrite edits and insert using drag and drop
- Mark and delete clips in the timeline
- Trim edit points and use Ripple, Roll and Extend edits

This course covers the requirements necessary to successfully become an Apple Certified Pro, Level 1, in Final Cut Pro. Level 1. The exam is sat as part of the course and is taken at the end of the course tuition.

Lesson 1 Working with the Final Cut Pro Interface
Final Cut Pro Interface, Following a Workflow, Working with Projects, Working with Bins, Working with the Timeline and Canvas, Magnifying Timeline Tracks, Quitting and Hiding Final Cut Pro.
Lesson 2 Marking and Editing
Playing and Marking Clips in the Viewer, Working with Audio Clips, Preparing to Edit, Making Overwrite Edits, Backing Up Sequences, Inserting Clips.
Lesson 3 Drag-and-Drop Editing
Manipulating and Dragging Clips in the Timeline, Preparing for Drag-and-Drop Editing, Dragging Audio to the Timeline, Changing a Clip in the Timeline.
Lesson 4 Marking in the Timeline
Marking and Selecting Tracks in the Timeline, Deleting Clips and Gaps, Editing to an Audio Track, Importing Clips into a Project, Editing Sound Effects to Video Clips, Linking Clips Together, Adding Cutaways or B-Roll Material.
Lesson 5 Trimming Edit Points

Lesson 3 Capturing Footage
Sources for Capture and settings, Previewing and Marking Your Source, Logging and Choosing Your Clips and Settings, Options and Preferences.
Lesson 4 Applying Transitions
Understanding and Viewing Transitions options, Applying Video Transitions and Audio Transitions, Using the Transition Editor and Transition Parameters, Previewing and Rendering Effects.
